University of Applied Science, Darmstadt Home Page

The Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences was founded in August 1971 and provides several different study programs, particularly in the range of information and engineering sciences. The university supports technical fields of knowledge like architecture, electrical engineering and computer science as well as economics or social pedagogy. The department of computer science also provides international degrees (Bachelor, Master of Science) which shows the modern orientation the university wants to emphasize.

During the next semester the computer science faculty will offer a course called "Databases and Data Security" where the students will get to know both the theoretical basics of databases and how to handle database systems that "really exist". Supplementary, some aspects of data security will be dealt with.

A referee of InterSystems will give a guest lecture about Caché in order to induct the students into the concepts of the Unified Data Architecture.
