University Description:
First established in 1931, DeVry University is one of the largest private
higher-education systems in North America. DeVry provides business and
technology education to more than 56,000 students at convenient campus
locations throughout the US and Canada as well as online.
Computer Information Systems Program
Department Description:
The CIS program provides students with the technical skills and business
principles needed to identify, analyze and design business solutions as well
as develop, test and implement supporting code and databases. An accelerated
program is available at select locations.
Caché Use:
A web-enabled on-line ordering system for eyeglass lenses will be designed
and coded. The system will be implemented using ASP.net with Caché as the
database server software. A written report on the system developmnet
lifecycle will be prepared, and a live demonstration of the system and its
development will be given. The system's development and reporting will
fulfill the Senior Project gradutation requirement for three students'
Bachelors' Degrees in Computer Information Systems and one student's
Bachelor Degree in Business Technical Management.
When the project is finished it may be placed into commercial operation.
