Caché Campus Program Description:
The Caché DBMS is used in the Database Technology course offered in Spring 2004.
In this course, students perform laborabory assignments comparing Caché's querying performance as a relational data store with the performance of databases such as mySQL, and comparing the Caché's performance as an XML store with that of other databases. Students will also examine Caché Bitmap indices and the Query optimizer.
Additionally, the Caché DBMS is used to store XML type data in order to integrate several ongoing research projects focusing on web services.
