Caché Campus
Participating Organizations
Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich
Founded in 1855 the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ) contains the University of Applied Sciences Zurich and Lausanne and four research establishments. 83 institutes, laboratories as well as 330 professorships, approximately 840 associate lecturers and 11,700 students are a part of the ETHZ.
In the context of the Campus Program, Caché is being installed by the faculty of computer science for several projects:
- Caché is used in classes for students in their 2nd year. The students have to solve several tasks to learn the handling of (relational) databases. InterSystems provides the necessary licences for different platforms (Windows, Linux, etc.).
- Caché is part of the lecture “object-orientated database technology” for students in their 3rd year. InterSystems will be giving a guest lecture and provides the necessary ACADEMIC licences and lecture materials.
- In the course of a research project Caché is to be evaluated as the underlying technology to replace other database products. InterSystems also provides the necessary ACADEMIC licences.
