LogoJMU stands for Liverpool John Moores University, to give it the formal title, but most people opt for the simple JMU acronym. The University took its name from Sir John Moores, the founder of the Littlewoods empire, which has been synonymous with Liverpool since it began in 1923. JMU is a large city-based university with over 20,000 students studying over 200 courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
