Montclair State University is located on a 200-acre campus in Upper Montclair, NJ, just 14 miles west of New York City.
The Department of Computer Science offers a major and a minor in Computer Science. A concentration in Professional Computing is available. This program is accredited by the Computer Science Accreditation Commission of the Computing Science Accreditation Board, a specialized accrediting body recognized by the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation and the United States Department of Education. All majors lead to a Bachelor of Science, and Professional Computing as well as graduate programs in computer Science are also offered.

Course Description
CMPT 371 Software Engineering I Analysis and Design
This course utilizes software engineering principles and techniques for the specification, analysis and design of high-quality complex software systems including both technical and non-technical aspects.
Students will utilize Caché in the analysis and desing of their software systems. In the subsequent course, CMPT 372, students will use Caché to aid in the rapid application development of the product.
