School of Computing Science Home Page
The School of Computing Science at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne are using Caché as part of its research involving object-oriented databases. With a focus on Bioinformatics, the University are using Caché to support PhD projects investigating genome comparisons. The Caché database provides back-end support at Newcastle for the development of Web-based and Grid-based services that disseminate the results of genome comparisons within and outside the University. The School of Computing Science at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne will also be using Caché for teaching purposes.
