Since 2000 University of the Ryukus has researched the ontological medical information model for medical domain. In 2004, they completed a research project regarding the design of a new ontological meta-information modeling framework and formulization of health information. An experimental application by XML Schema was developed. Development has continued with a re-design signed and new functional has been added.
In the next phase, the new model will be tested and implemented within application. It will also be used and developed in clinical practice course in university.
