VBS Technical University Ostrava was established 150 years ago in Pribram, a silver-mining town, with the mission of education in all sciences related to coal/metal mining, geology, and geography.
In 1945, the institution was moved to Ostrava, the main coal-mining region of the Czech Republic, and it changed its specialization to coal-mining and engineering (heavy industry). A Faculty of Economics was established in 1952. After changes in the 1990s, the university started educating fully polytechnic specialists in most technical branches.
Caché will be introduced in the fifth-year students"Development of Economic applications" course, which is part of "System Engineering and Informatics". Caché will be studied in approximately 5 lessons of 60 students. There will be laboratory exercises as well.
