Founded in 1833, the University of Zurich is the largest university in Switzerland. With approximately 21,000 full-time students, the university contains over 140 institutes and 7 faculties, including the faculty of economic sciences, the faculty of mathematics and natural sciences, and the faculty of law.

The Computer Science Institute (in the Faculty of Economic Sciences) offers a database course in which Caché will be used to demonstrate examples of the following themes:

  • Vulnerabilities of today´s DB-technology when Nonstandard-requirements occur
  • Databases and Objects
  • Trigger-Mechanisms
  • JDBC, Objects and DB
  • ODBC and DB
  • XML and DB

& and many more.

At the end of the course lectures, the Database Technology Group will use Caché to create prototypes of diploma theses.
